Allied Wallet / Instabill, the company that processes the debit/credit card transactions for
Secure Backup Online Services, is fully PCI compliant. "PCI" is Payment Card Industry - The Payment Card
Industry Data Security Standard is a worldwide information security standard assembled by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards
Council (PCI SSC). The standard was created to help organizations that process card payments prevent credit card fraud through
increased controls around data and its exposure to compromise. The standard applies to all organizations which hold, process, or pass
cardholder information from any card branded with the logo of one of the credit card brands.
The primary encounter with a customer's credit / debit card information is used only to verify the specific amount of the primary transaction and to
make sure the card is valid. Information collected at this time ensures, with very high confidence, that the card is being used by the owner or
with their permission. Subsequent automatic recurring transactions will only be allowed for the amount of the original transaction and only
allowed for the billing cycle selected ( monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually). Transactions for different amounts and/or attempted at
different intervals will be denied.
As a credit card processor, Allied Wallet need only retain the credit card number for automatic recurring subscription-based transactions. They are not
allowed to store a customer's CVC/CVV2 or PIN information, which would be required to process a transaction of a different amount or interval. This
is standard across the industry and they comply with this regulation 100%. Since they do store the credit card number, it is completely encrypted to a level that would take trillions of years to crack with the strongest technology available. There is no credit/debit card information collected
or stored on the SBOS website or servers.
"Security is of the utmost importance to us - not only are we in compliance with the industry's security standards, we implement security measures
that go well beyond what the industry requires." -- Jason Boyer, I.T. Security & Network Manager , Allied Wallet / Instabill. USA Office: Beverly Hills, CA.
