"Convenience, simplicity, affordability, and ease of setup are real marketing features. I think 90% of users never do
their own backups, or if so, only once or twice a year. Data is priceless! Hardware warranties are good, but it's DATA backup that counts!
My last computer crash would have cost me $1,000 to $2,000 if I would have had to pay someone to recover the data and I don't even have anything of
great importance on it! This service is like data insurance. Health care reform comes to the PC!"

Bio of Carlton Whatley, President and Founder
In 1996, Carlton established his computer and technology consulting business in Asheville, North Carolina, and to date
has served thousands of satisfied clients. Throughout his I.T. career, Carlton has witnessed literally thousands of data loss
scenarios. Not willing to accept the ineffective industry standard for backup, in 2006 Carlton began to research and develop a more
efficient and cost effective backup system. His vision was for an affordable, reliable, secure, automatic, and managed backup process that
would remove the tedium and guess-work surrounding backup technology. Clients began utilizing his online backup process early in 2007
and in the Summer of 2008, Carlton's vision was fully realized with the founding of Secure Backup Online Services, Ltd.
Prior to this, Carlton developed his organizational and technical talents by starting and operating a part-time computer business in 1987
that formed the backbone of his current and extensive consulting work. In 1984, he attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi Texas and
studied computer programming. While in college, Carlton worked as an assistant with a taxidermist and operated a part-time photography
business specializing in weddings and portraits. After graduation in 1987, Carlton was hired by the 800,000 acre King Ranch in Kingsville
Texas as a computer programmer and was soon promoted to PC Manager. His responsibilities included purchasing, installing, and tech support
for all PCs at the Ranch. After two years with the King Ranch, he was hired by the 550 bed Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi Texas, as their
computer Technical Support Specialist.
Prior to his technical career, he attended Texas A&M University in Kingsville Texas where he studied pre-nursing for one year.
He then attended and graduated from Del Mar College School of Vocational Nursing in 1975 and specialized in ICU
and Emergency Room. After 10 years in the medical field, new career interests led Carlton into the computer field.
Carlton was born in July of 1954 and raised near Corpus Christi Texas. The youngest of four children, he was a Boy Scout and
he enjoyed science classes in Middle and High School, and also played alto-saxophone in the marching band. Carlton
loves living in the mountains of North Carolina. He has the highest regard and respect for everything in nature and for planet
Earth and all her inhabitants. He loves to travel internationally and learn of different cultures and languages. Most of all he
enjoys helping people in every way he can.
